Celebrating Asian Heritage: A Collaboration Fueled by Diversity and Inclusivity

For the third consecutive year, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with the talented Linda Hoang to curate a special collection in honor of Asian Heritage Month. This collaboration has been a journey filled with creativity, passion, and a shared commitment to celebrating Asian heritage through meaningful avenues. As we gear up to unveil this year's collection, I'm thrilled to reflect on our partnership and the values it represents.

At the heart of our collaboration lies a dedication to diversity and inclusivity. We believe that clothing can be more than just fabric; it can be a medium for storytelling and a catalyst for important conversations. With this in mind, Linda and I set out to create a collection of comfy sweatshirts that not only embrace Asian heritage but also serve as conversation starters.

One of the most memorable moments of this collaboration was our first in-person meeting. Despite having worked together virtually for the past three years, meeting Linda face-to-face was a truly special experience. Her genuine soul and passion for our project shone through, reaffirming the power of human connection in creative endeavours.

As we prepared to launch our collection, we were fortunate to be surrounded by a group of amazing supporters who lent their time and talents to our cause.  Together, we embarked on a branding shoot that captured the essence of our collection – a celebration of Asian heritage in all its richness and diversity.

While we can't wait to reveal the full extent of our collaboration, we're excited to offer a sneak peek of what's to come. Our collection features an array of stylish sweatshirts adorned with meaningful designs and motifs inspired by Asian culture. Each piece is not only a reflection of Asian heritage but also a testament to the beauty of unity in diversity.

In a world where representation matters more than ever, our collaboration serves as a beacon of hope and empowerment. Through our sweatshirts, we hope to spark conversations, challenge stereotypes, and foster a greater sense of understanding and appreciation for Asian heritage.

But our collaboration goes beyond fashion; it's about making a positive impact in our community. That's why we're proud to announce that 20% of proceeds from our collection will be donated to ToGather Chinatown, a local organization dedicated to supporting and uplifting Chinatown communities through arts-focused initiatives. By giving back to our community, we hope to draw attention to the vibrant culture and history of Chinatown while supporting initiatives that foster unity and resilience.
